This course covers the analysis and design of power systems, from transmission line mechanics and steady-state power flow to fault analysis and system stability. Students study bus admittance matrices, load flow algorithms, symmetrical components, and both symmetrical and unsymmetrical fault calculations. The course concludes with power system stability analysis, examining transient and small-signal angle stability, frequency stability, and voltage stability, supported by the study of rotating machines, transformers, and underground cables.
