The purpose of this course is to expose the learner to current and emerging trends relevant to computer science, equipping them with both technical knowledge and the critical thinking skills needed to evaluate, deploy, and govern emerging technologies in professional and societal contexts.

CLO 1: Select appropriate emerging technologies and tools for specific application contexts

CLO 2: Discuss the current trends in the field of computer science, including global and regional perspectives.

CLO 3: Analyse advanced level knowledge in selected areas of contemporary computer science.

CLO 4: Evaluate and critically appraise various emerging trends in computer science with attention to ethical, social, and governance dimensions.

The course focuses on concepts and current state of the art technologies and trends. It includes but is not limited to Internet of Things, block chain technology, Cyber Security, Machine learning, Cloud computing and Quantum computing.
