Course Purpose
To expose learners to industry and field working conditions for practical and experiential learning on agrifood systems

By the end of this course, you should be able to:
CLO 1: Acquire practical skills and appropriate work-ethics and employability skills
CLO 2: Work collaboratively both team and independently in a work environment
CLO 3: Apply theoretical knowledge to developing solutions to practical challenges in the work place in agricultural sector
CLO 4: Write an industrial attachment report
Course Content
Work / attachment experience: Industrial Attachment is a structured and professionally managed programme whereby a student / learner is placed within a relevant host industry/ institution, with an on-site supervisor beside the OUK supervisor. Selection of hosts (industry / institution / organization / farm / firm) ensures there are identified clear opportunities to practice and apply accumulated skill and knowledge, while continuing to learn from the exposure-experiential learning, under supervision. A written report is required from the student and a performance evaluation by the onsite supervisor, according to criteria agreed at the outset with the OUK supervisor. Learner to focus on: Industry and field working conditions; Appropriate work ethics and employability skills; Problem solving skills, communication and teamwork in a working environment; Problem identification in agrifood systems and provision of solution and Report writing presentation skills.
