Course Purpose

This module equips you with a clear understanding of Kenya’s political systems, governance structures, and key historical and contemporary developments, preparing you to engage critically and effectively in civic and public life.

  1. Identify key historical events and constitutional milestones that have shaped Kenya’s political development.

  2. Explain the structure and functions of national and devolved government in Kenya.

  3. Analyze the role of political and civil institutions in Kenya’s governance processes.
