Course Purpose
The purpose of this course is to equip learners with comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, and professional values necessary to assess, plan, and implement evidence-based strategies that promote health, prevent disease, and improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. The course emphasizes a holistic and equitable approach to community health, fostering critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration in addressing diverse health needs, managing public health challenges, and advancing sustainable health outcomes.

Health Education and promotion: Definitions; health communication, Behaviour Change Communication, Information Education Communication (IEC), Advocacy; information dissemination, health promotion charters; ethical issues; Health promotion models/theories; Health Promotion programme; general components, designing a health promotion programme.
