Course Purpose
The course aims to enable the learner to acquire knowledge, skills, values and attitudes on foundations of learning design, technology and trends.

- Examples of instructional design models, e.g., ADDIE
- Alternative models to ADDIE
Theories and models of learning and instruction: Psychological foundations of instructional design, constructivism for active, authentic learning; the learning sciences and performance
Introduction to instructional design: Fundamentals of instructional design; The role of learning designers;
Theories, Principles and application to instructional design cognition and instructional design; learning theories that are significant in creating material for learning
Stages in the methodology of ID and application: Stages involved in learning design; different approaches to the different stages;
ADDIE and prototypes:
Analysis in learning design:
Different types of analysis for exceptional learning; needs assessment;
Designing for learning: Evaluating the effectiveness of learning interventions; Different evaluation models, data collection methods, and analysis techniques;
Development stage in ID: Creating a storyboard; Content generation of a case study; Course and content flow; Chunking content; Sequencing content; Readability and accessibility of content;
