Course Purpose

The Course aims at enabling the Acquisition of Competences, Knowledge and Attitudes  in Planning, Facilitating, and Evaluating
high‑quality Online learning in diverse Educational settings.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

Analyse online pedagogy through foundational theories and models

Design inclusive, learner‑centred online learning experiences using integra strategies

CELO 3:
Evaluate online assessment, feedback and learner support practices

CELO 4:
Synthesise professional growth 
as an ODeL facilitator through reflective  e‑portfolio practice


 

Course Content

 Fundamental theories and models;
constructivism, connectivism, communities of inquiry, and Addie. Preparation
for online facilitation. Key principles of online facilitation;
learner-centred, Interactive, flexibility, supportive and reflective. Tools for
online pedagogical strategies. Engagement Strategies; -blended learning format:
flipped classroom models; pre-recorded materials for self-study, synchronous
sessions for active learning, forum discussion, collaborative activities,
breakout rooms, and group projects to foster peer interaction. Role-play and
scenario-based learning; immersive simulations for experiential practice,
micro-teaching, case study methods, analysing real-world scenarios to build
critical thinking and problem-solving skills. gamification integrating points,
badges, and challenges to enhance motivation; guided learning via mentorship
and personalized feedback; LEAD through Exploration and Discovery learning to
promote learner autonomy, design and evaluate online assessment, and compiling
a reflective e‑portfolio that demonstrates growth as an ODeL facilitator across
diverse educational settings.
