Course Purpose

The course will enable the learner to gain a good command of fundamental quality theories and knowledge based on Total Quality Management (TQM) and ISO certification in an organization. Moreover, it provides a complete overview of the processes, challenges, and problems associated with quality management in organizations.

This course seeks to enable learning about:
i. Principles and practices of quality management in the context of entrepreneurship.
ii. Quality management concepts and tools for entrepreneurial ventures.
iii. Problem-solving skills, with emphasis on applying these skills in the context of quality management in entrepreneurship.

Quality, Society, and Institutions (Role of society in sustaining quality practices, Impact of quality practices on employees, institutions, and society, The Relationship Between Quality Management and Society, and Influence of Quality Management on Institutions and Societal Development), 

Quality and the Environment (Environmental policies on quality management, Culture and quality, TQM Theories and Environmental Integration, and Sustainable Quality Practices).

 Quality and the Law in Business Entrepreneurship (Legal aspects in enforcing quality practices, Quality and product liability, Regulatory Compliance and Standards in Quality Management, and Ethical Considerations and Consumer Protection).
